Greetings.

I am a London-based arty type who used to dabble exclusively in the creation of sounds and now dabbles also a whole lot in the capturing of light.

This website is a little hub for my photographic explorations and offerings. If you are curious about my approach, the text below offers an insight into my process. For those interested in mentorship or workshops, I will be sharing dedicated pages with full details on those in a matter of days.

The beauty of what remains:

I love capturing life's light on film with the help of often trusty, sometimes rather temperamental, old analogue cameras. I love getting immersed in exploration and conversation with others, capturing something incisive, meaningful, or beautiful in the process.

I love what remains of a human being after peeling back layers of self-consciousness, pretence, or fear that accompany many as they navigate their everyday lives. I find that which remains—human beings when disarmed, unreserved, receptive, candid, unmasked, and ingenuous—incredibly beautiful and rewarding to capture. Photographs like these, it seems to me, have the potential to incite, perturb, evoke, stir, or hearten the viewer; I enjoy the pursuit of such imagery immensely.

I revel in texture, the intricacies of shape, and gesture. I revel in the balancing act that is the photographic process, finding those sweet spots between light and shade, between dynamic composition and harmoniousness, between focus and dreaminess. Ultimately, I am interested in the crux of things, the heart of the matter. The world is a complicated place and photography allows me to learn, reflect, appreciate, and celebrate the beauty of it all.

Lastly, I am one of those creatives who enjoys the daily graft and I am constantly working on new things. If you would like to follow my photographic journey much more closely, I share a very large portfolio, updated every single day, along with behind-the-scenes videos and thoughts over on Patreon.

Thanks for showing an interest in my work.
